News Letter

Dear friends and colleagues,

As many of you now know, our dear friend and co-founder, Dar Molayem, has decided to retire. He has given us 36 years of outstanding leadership and accomplishment. We on the Board and his colleagues at Tabletops Unlimited (TTU) will miss his inspiration and friendship.

Since inception, Dar helped hone and focus our commitment to our mission. While we are saddened by his departure, our dedication to continually expanding and sharpening our product strategies, developing our leadership, and our focus on our customers has never been stronger.

We at TTU believe that our mission has never been more clear or important, to create and promote quality houseware products that inspire people to cook daily, entertain often, and enjoy every moment with family and friends. We strive to deliver the best products with the highest customer service to our partners and retailers.

Our mission hasn’t changed—and won’t change with the coming leadership transition. We are indebted to Dar for greatly improving our ability to achieve that mission by bringing a commitment to excellence that continues on.

TTU has become a highly strategic enterprise that is able to work effectively in a complex and ever-changing landscape, as well as a learning organization that embraces reflection and refinement. TTU has developed a board and leadership that collectively holds this vision. We are lucky to have such a strong group of managers at TTU to continue this important work. Dar leaves a legacy to be proud of, and leaves TTU at a good moment for new leadership to take the helm. In short, TTU is in good hands and on a strong trajectory to significantly improve and grow. The board is committed to that trajectory and we have the resources and plans in place to take our work to address the many opportunities ahead.

Additionally, Amir Tehrani, a partner of TTU and a serial entrepreneur and former EIR for the City of LA, has also joined the senior leadership and board of the company. Amir also serves on the boards of Inc Magazine and formerly on that of cPrime (Acquired by Alten Group Ticker: ATE). He has an MBA from the UCLA Anderson School of Management.

Please join us in wishing Dar well in his retirement and thank him on behalf of all of us.

Sincerely,

Board of Directors
