I was born in Piacenza, Italy, which is located in the Emilia Romagna region and celebrated for many Italian delicacies. I grew up in a family of chefs. My grandfather Mario and his two brothers, Hector and Paul co-founded the beloved Chef Boiardi Food Product Co. The Chef Boiardi Food Product Co. spelled our family name phonetically on food products so everyone could pronounce our family name, Boy-ar-dee. I spent many hours in the kitchen with my mother and grandmothers learning how to cook.
In my family food was how we were nurtured, it’s what connected us and it’s how we lived our traditions.
To honor those traditions, I wrote Delicious Memories: Recipes and Stories from the Chef Boyardee Family. I also taught an interactive cooking class at Cucina Academy. Today I am a wife and a mother. I continue to share my love of cooking and try to inspire others to get in their kitchens and create their own traditions.
I believe cooking should be a joy.
With this aim in mind, I developed my Anna Boiardi™ Prep and Cookware Collections. They are produced to the highest standards, consistent with the Boiardi family tradition of culinary quality, which dates back to the 1800’s in Piacenza, Italy. Made with best-in class materials, and beautifully designed to make cooking and cleaning easier, while delivering exceptional results.
